The appraiser at Reyman Gemological Services is an expert at authentication of Rolex and many other brands of watches. First and foremost, we do the entire Rolex authentication process in front of you. This includes a thorough examination of the case, dial, bezel, and bracelet. In addition, part of that process also includes opening the caseback to examine the movement which is the only way to truly authenticate a Rolex. The only time this is not necessary is when you have the proper paperwork and sales receipts from an Authorized Rolex Dealer from the United States. During the examination, we also retrieve all of the numbers including the model number, serial number, calibre number, number of jewels, and the movement serial number. During the examination, no part of the movement is disturbed. After the examination, the caseback is resealed. If the watch was water tight before the examination, it will continue to be watertight after the examination. All of the information will be given verbally while you’re at your appointment and all of your questions will be answered. After your appointment, we continue to do pricing research and your appraisal report generally goes out within one week.
